Mehrangarh Fort

Fort in Jodhpur is one of the largest fortresses and is also the most
attractive Jodhpur Fort in all of Rajasthan. This fort is one of the famous
forts in India. It is located on a height difference of 150 m. It was founded
by Rao Jodha in 1459. Mehrangarh Fort is directly accessible from the city (5
below).
It takes
seven doors to get there. The doors still show evidence of the various battles
that took place in the past. Its second gate still shows cannonball observers
attacking Jaipur's armies during the wars. One of them is Jayapol, which means
triumph. It was worked on by Maharaja Man Singh to celebrate his triumphs over
the forces of Jaipur and Bikaner. Another gate, Fattehpol, which means triumph,
was used by Maharaja Ajit Singh as a celebration for the defeat of the Mughals.
The Jaswant Thada
On the
other side of the fort complex is Jaswant Thada from Jodhpur, Rajasthan. It is
a royal fortress built in recognition of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, the 33rd
leader of Rathore of Jodhpur. Maharaja Jaswant Singh's son, Maharaja Sardar
Singh, built the Jaswant Thada in memory of his father. The cenotaph contains
two other tombs. The royal crematorium and three different cenotaphs are
nearby. Jaswant Thada in Jodhpur, India is a case of architectural excellence
in India. It is a white marble art made with finely carved marble slabs. The
cut shows the art of the stone workers.
The Rai Ka Baag building
The Rai
ka Bag Palace in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, is another vacation spot to visit during

trip. Maharaja Jaswant Singh-I built this royal residence. It is located
near the railway station of the Raika Bag royal residence. The Rai Ka Bag Fort
in Jodhpur, India was built in 1663. It was one of the most popular royal
residences of King Jaswant Singh-II. Most of the time it remained in the
octagonal hut of the Rai Ka Bag castle.
